Is it guaranteed that if I make a deal, that I will get the room?

Erasmate cannot guarantee you to receive a room you were confirmed for by the sub-lessor/landlord as we function as the market place for housing only. This is comparable with online marketplaces like Ebay. Making a deal is based on mutual trust of the sub-lessor and the tenant. By making use of our legally binding contract, you can increase the trustworthiness of the deal significantly, though.

How can I be sure that the advertisement is real?

Erasmate cannot make 100% sure that an advertised room actually exists and therefore we strongly recommend to have contact with the landlord before applying for a room. Ask for photos, make a phone call and check whether the person renting out the room is legally allowed to sub-rent their property.
